From 2008 to 2011, Trinidad and Tobago has been cited by top Internet search engine Google as ranking number one for online pornography hits per capita. Since then, this country has ranked in the top ten, placing fourth as recently as 2014.
In response, the Archdiocesan Family Life Commission - in conjunction with Jubilee Ministries -has embarked on Consider This! a media project created to sensitize the public regarding the harmful effects of pornography. The project is being developed in phases.
The first two phases: a four-part mini-series and a five-part talk show aired on national television and on Trinity TV in 2012. A third phase, Consider This–A National Conversation is a symposium bringing together international specialists and activists to highlight pornography’s harmful effects on children.
This event will take place at the Trinidad Hilton and Conference Centre on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October 2016.
