BREAK EVERY CHAIN - OUR PERSONAL ENCOUNTER
In 2016, our team embarked on Phase IV of Consider This!, our community's public awareness campaign in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Family Life Commission. It was to be a Caribbean conference for 700 persons and would bring together some of the brightest and most experienced professionals to discuss pornography's harm to children. Having learned from our experiences related to the first 3 phases, one of the VERY FIRST decisions made was to issue a clarion call to our nation's intercessors to provide the spiritual support to take this important mission to completion. The support was overwhelming, with teams even signing up to remain in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during the two days of the conference; both in a secure room at the Trinidad Hilton and in Blessed Sacraments across the country!
Needless to say, we remain indebted to the people who committed. We'll admit to you now that we faced EVERY possible challenge, including speakers canceling because of the Zika virus scare! But with every challenge, our intercessors were advised and their support sustained our little team. At every turn, we would see obstacles lifting; we even had one speaker agree to present via SKYPE from her hometown in North Carolina!
In the end, it would be God, answering the prayers of the many faithful, that would see us through. For us, that's the power of intercession!

Our Ministry of Intercession
Our intercessory ministry was formally established in 2007 to pray for the needs of others. As a small team, our main focus is providing prayer support for the needs of the nation, our church, and our community however, we also commit to personal intercession from time to time.
The ministry is currently led by Ms. La Vaughn De Leon and ably assisted by Mrs. Jenny Olivier-Pollard. We hold weekly group prayer and visit the Blessed Sacrament monthly as a team. Bible study, Catholic traditions and other Holy Spirit-led tools are important aspects of our formation. Additionally, as part of the Association of Catholic Intercessors (ACI) since 2014, we continue to be exposed to spiritual warfare training.
Be blessed!
